And The Winner Is . . .

I hope that my readers have had as much fun helping me promote breast cancer awareness as I have doing it! The final contest for my Save the Ta Tas promotion involved having readers write a jingle or poem to compel women to remember to have an annual mammogram. I loved the entries you submitted! The two jingles with the most “Likes” for the respective prize were declared the winners.

So without further delay, the winner of the Handpicked Necklace is Cindy Brown and here’s the jingle she submitted:

Walking scared of the what ifs.
Walking out wondering about what to do next.
So don’t waste time; Ease your mind
And make a pancake of your boobs,
One at a time.
~ Cindy Brown

The most “liked” jingle among the submissions for the Spanx Camisole, donated by Rue La La, came from Jennifer Kerns:

Do not forget about your best friends, please! Get your boobies checked once a year for their yearly squeeze. ~ Jennifer Kerns

Congratulations to both of you! Please e-mail your shipping information, along with a phone number, to

There were other great jingles and I thought that the one from Sally England deserved at least an honorable mention as the Editor’s Pick.

B cup, C cup, maybe D…
Get your mammo, will you please?
Don’t delay! there’s no time to waste!
The sooner the better, please make haste!

Although the test is just a screening,
The final results hold so much meaning.
Hurry now! Is it a date?
Let’s rule out cancer! Is it a date?
~ Sally England

There were so many fun things going on during the month, and I wanted to end this post with a wrap up of them . . .
Did you read my blog post Breast Cancer Is No Laughing Matter? Actually, this post WAS a laughing matter, but meant to help you remember some important things and have a little laugh at the same time.

Finally, check out all the creative names that readers suggested for the female breast (Hilarious)!

Ladies, Take care of your girls! Hubbies, Save a life and grope your wife!

If Groupon is not in your city (you can find out with the little widget below), don’t worry! There are always several online deals every day that anyone can purchase, regardless of geography! Groupon hasn’t made it to my city yet, but I’ve taken advantage of some great deals and you can, too! Here are some of the ONLINE deals for November 3, 2010:

$45 for One 16″x20″ Gallery-Wrapped Canvas Including Shipping and Handling from Canvas on Demand ($126.95 Value) A wrapped canvas is a professional photorealistic reproduction printed on textured artist canvas and gallery wrapped around a sturdy 1.5″ edge. Customers can also opt to mail in traditional prints; Canvas on Demand’s image magicians will make a high-resolution scan and return originals by mail—unless they’re baby photos, which are returned via stork.

With a wrap-around canvas, your new art will have a colorful edge, and it won’t need a frame. About a week from receipt of your initial submission, you’ll have your gallery-canvas print in hand, ready to hang with pride above any lonely fireplace in need of a non-imaginary friend.

Can’t Even Give Stuff Away!

What’s up with the giveaways, folks? I’ve got several contests going on right now and nobody is entering! It’s FREE STUFF!! And it’s GOOD STUFF!

Let me recap the current giveaways and maybe if they’re all in one place, you’ll be a little more inclined to enter.

What’s Your Most Embarrassing Moment?

What’s your most embarrassing moment involving the breast? It can be your breast or someone elses (be sure you ask permission before you tell their story).

I shared a story of my own–click here to read it. And then I asked Facebook fans to post their own stories. Two people posted, but nobody voted! I can’t pick a winner unless you vote! Here are the stories:

Story #1~Susan B.

One night, years ago, two girlfriends and myself went out for drinks at a bar/night club. My two gorgeous girlfriends ended up meeting two cute guys as they sat on stools at the bar. All of a sudden, one of my girlfriends jumped up, grabbed myself and other friend and said, “We have to go to the bathroom now!” When we got into the bathroom, she said, “Oh my gosh, I was sitting there talking to that guy and my “boob” fell on to the floor.” And he looked down where it landed and yelled, “What the heck is that?”

She then holds out her hand with her “chicken cutlet” style breast enhancer in it to show us. My other girlfriend turns to us and says, “We’re gonna have to get out of here because the guy I was talking to keeps running his hand through my hair and my extensions are gonna fall out at any moment, too!!!!”

Story #2~Life’s a Gift
My most embarrassing moment was a couple months after my oldest had been born. We were were stationed at Hickam AFB at the time & it was our first visit back to the beach. I squeezed into my old bikini and slipped a skimpy one piece cover-up over it. When we arrived at the beach, my friends invited me into the water to try my hand at boogie boarding…bad idea! A huge wave hit me and my bikini top popped open and I popped out! I was frantically trying to cover myself with my skimpy cover-up and looking towards my hubby for help…expecting him to come running with a towel…didn’t happen! He sat on the beach with our newborn just shaking his head! LOL! I am a very modest person & will remember that day forever!! :)

Since the only people who have voted for the stories are the authors and myself, I’m going to run this contest through Friday to give fans an opportunity to vote and to submit their own stories. The person who gets the most “Likes” wins a pink pashmina from RSH Catalog (compliments of Pennywise Panache).

Here’s a sampling of today’s sales at Rue La La:

Yummie Tummie is a modern body contouring shaper. Your Yummie Tummie is meant to be seen while secretly slimming your mid-section and camouflaging visible lumps and bumps! Unlike most shapewear that compress your bust and roll up, the Yummie Tummies’ cotton bust and hip panels appear to the outsider as a normal tank top; meanwhile the secret midsection panel is smoothing and shaping your middle, eliminating approximately five pounds off your appearance.

Yummie Tummie is the first body shaper garment that is top oriented and designed to be worn each and every day as a foundation or layering piece. The effects of Yummie Tummie are dramatic for the wearer, both physically and mentally. Yummie Tummie will give you a boost of confidence! It is extra long in the body so it provides coverage as you bend and move. These shapers come in lots of styles and range in size from X-small to 3X. Prices range from $29 to $35.

Designing jewelry that is both fashionable and classic, Janice Giraldi blends modern flair and ancient drama into striking combinations of precious metals, gemstones and freshwater pearls. I love jewelry and it was hard for me to find a piece I didn’t like in this collection. The earrings pictured are $39 and the ring is only $49.

Show Your Boobies!?!

As I was standing in front of my boss’s desk one day, waiting for him to complete his instructions for a project I was working on, I noticed he seemed a little distracted. He managed to finish giving directions as I picked up a stack of files from his desk.

As I double checked the files to make sure I had everything, I asked, “Anything else?”

He dropped his head a little and said, “Yes, Martha! Your blouse is unbuttoned!”

Of course, it was the button dead center of my chest, so he got a good look at some cleavage. Definitely not a totally innocent peek! I felt my face turn 50 shades of red as I thanked God for that stack of folders, clasped them over my chest, and got out of there as quickly as I could!

Now, share your most embarrassing moment–that has to do with your breasts (or somebody else’s if you have their permission) to win a pink pashmina from Room Service Home. (Click here to see the scarf).

To help get you in the mood for a funny story, click here and leave a comment (so I’ll know you read it).

  1. Leave a comment indicating that you read the post “Breast Cancer Is No Laughing Matter” (link above). A couple of you have already commented so that’s your first entry.

Save The Ta Tas!

I’m big on causes! I’m a bit selective but when I get behind one, I’m on board! I am 100% behind our military (my sons are both soldiers), and I’m a big education advocate. I find it harder to get behind some causes, but not the one we’re honoring in October–Breast Cancer Awareness! I know someone who is just beginning her fight with breast cancer–she had her first chemotherapy treatment this week. I have a sister cousin (we call each other that because we’re close and because our moms have the same birth date) who is a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed in her 40’s with two types of breast cancer and immediately started waging the fight of her life. Her precious parents–my aunt and uncle–were by her side every step of the way! A dear friend of mine lost her mother to breast cancer when her mom was only 44 years old! Way too young! And my former mother-in-law (my children’s grandmother) battled breast cancer all the years I knew her. I have never known anyone who fought so relentlessly to win her battle with breast cancer in an era when treatments were not as advanced as they are today.

So you see, I’ve loved people who have survived breast cancer and some who didn’t. I have friends who have been touched by the loss of someone close to them. I have an aunt and uncle, co-survivors, who put on their boxing gloves with my sister cousin and waged war with her. And I just know that in my life time, this disease will be eradicated. But it takes awareness and people talking openly about it. So here’s my plug–

Feel your boobies!
Have your mammies grammed!
Know your breasts!

If you’re due a mammogram, here’s your reminder. If you haven’t learned how to do your own self-exam, click here for step-by-step instructions. And here are all the tools you need––a place free of distraction, the finger pads of the three middle fingers on your hands, and a mirror! Yes! A mirror! You need to look at your breasts! These links will give you more details.

Now, back to my support of the cause . . . I wish I was smart enough to know the science to wipe out this horrible disease. But I’m not–science is not my thing! I wish I had millions of dollars to contribute to research, but I’m not a millionaire, so my ability to contribute is limited. But I can use my voice–or my keyboard–to raise awareness and that’s what I’ve decided to do.

Sometimes, it takes a trick or two to get people to read information that they’re bombarded with. And I know that during this month, especially, you are seeing all sorts of things about breast cancer awareness. So, I thought I’d use a trick of my own to get your attention . . . GIVEAWAYS! I know how much you love them!

First, let me say that had I started sooner, I think I would have had 100% of the giveaways sponsored by someone. I have been so encouraged by the positive response from the people I asked for help. For the giveaways that I purchased myself, I opted to introduce you to some of my favorite places to shop.

My hope is that if you win one of these prizes, you will–
A. Use it to remind yourself that YOU are worth taking care of;
B. Share it with someone who is struggling with breast cancer right now to encourage them; or
C. Give your prize to a survivor to let her know that you’re glad she won the fight.

I have lots to share and these prizes will be given at random using whatever criteria happens to strike my fancy at the time. Ready?

I love Room Service Home and have shopped their catalog for years! When I thought about giveaways for breast cancer patients and survivors, I immediately thought of RSH because I knew I’d find those great presents that say “pamper” with a capital P!

When I don’t feel well and I’m stressed, I’m more likely to forget things. That’s why I thought these “All Out Of” Pads were perfect for the woman who has more important things on her mind than a grocery list!

Wear these beautiful Pashminas to complement your outfit, tie a trendy turban, or just knock off the chill on these cool, fall days. Generously proportioned so that you can decide how to wear it. Of course, I’ve chosen pink! Acrylic/viscose. Machine washable.

If you’re a breast cancer survivor, I’m sure you’re back to cleaning (Ugh!), but hopefully, these adorable pink gloves will make the chore a little lighter. If you’re in the thick of the battle, give these to your husband and see how cute he looks in these! Room Service Home’s natural rubber latex gloves with clever dot oil-cloth cuffs are perfect for cleaning and gift giving.

I found these great Rucinni brooches (yes, they’re back in style) at the Modnique sample sale last week. I think they’re gorgeous and either of these pins would look great on a gray blazer or a black coat. Rucinni products feature some of the most exquisite jewelry available on the market. Their attention to detail and extremely high quality products are second to none. Each product features luminous enamel and carefully set Swarovski Crystals! Inside each box is their “Rucinni” brand stamp embedded into the enamel so you know you are receiving a genuine Rucinni product.

Shower for the cure is’s charity pink ribbon shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath supporting the Women’s Cancer Research Fund. The creamy formula contains a touch of comforting milky notes and a kiss of tangerine nectar for a unique scent that delicate, feminine and sophisticated. philosophy donates 100% of its net proceeds from the sale of this product. Not many companies donate ALL the proceeds of a promotion.’s commitment to the cause makes me proud to be a affiliate.

I love Etsy! If you don’t know about Etsy, you’re missing out on so much!

Etsy enables people to make a living making things, and to reconnect makers with buyers. The Etsy community spans the globe with buyers and sellers coming from more than 150 countries. Etsy sellers number in the hundreds of thousands!

Etsy’s vision is to build a new economy and present a better choice: Buy, Sell, and Live Handmade!

When I decided to do this promotion, Etsy was one of the first places I started browsing for ideas, and I wasn’t disappointed by the selection. But more importantly, I wasn’t disappointed by the response! I get a little teary eyed still (and I’ve been working on this promotion over a week) just thinking about how generous these Etsy sellers have been in helping with this promotion. There was no hesitation! Not one question asked! They just wanted to know where to send the goodies! Angels for sure!

Amy Lynn Thompson of Cameos & Such, contributed these beautiful cameo hair pins. For me, a cameo depicts the beauty of a woman, and I want all women, whatever they’re facing, to feel beautiful! When I sent Amy an email, she responded within minutes–”My mother is a 3 year survivor! Count me in!” Way to fight like a girl, Lynda Thomspon (Amy’s mom)! This giveaway is in honor of you! Add Amy’s shop to your favorites and subscribe to her RSS feed by clicking here. I’m so impressed with Amy–she’s 18 years old and runs her little cameo business out of her bedroom. She designs and creates all of the jewelry herself, and I see a burgeoning entrepreneur on the horizon!

Kim and her friend Jaynie make handmade cards for all occasions, along with some little extras that can be tucked inside. They also offer some useful and unique items that can be personalized for shower favors and thank you gifts in their shop, J And K Kreations.

I enjoyed browsing their shop because they had so many great things to raise awareness of breast cancer. Kim and Jaynie donated these “Seeds Of Hope” Wildflower Seeds. I love the quote they have posted on the site: “To plant a garden is to believe in the future.” What woman doesn’t need assurance–and a little reminder–that the future is so much brighter for breast cancer patients than it was just 10 years ago? Please add a href=””>J And K Kreations to your favorites and subscribe to their feed by clicking here.

These Etsy dealers are already the most thoughtful people ever! I mean, I didn’t have to ask them to make items especially for breast cancer awareness–they already had! Thus, I just went shopping and asked a few people to contribute to the cause! Don’t you just love people who are so thoughtful?

Sharla at Cheeks and Lola was ready and willing to help with my promotion and donated several special edition pocket mirrors from her “I HEART Boobies” designs. Sharla specializes in what she calls “LOOK AT ME” pocket mirrors. These mirrors are intended to make a statement–funny, absurd at times, inspirational…whatever you make it. When you hold up that mirror, you’ll be saying “Look at me!” The mirrors have a little attitude, reflecting Sharla’s belief that being a little on the edgy side boosts confidence! How important is THAT to a woman fighting breast cancer?

Cheeks and Lola pocket mirrors are not just to reflect your image, but they are reflectors of light that shine into those dark places and illuminate what is uniquely beautiful in each of you.

I’m sort of peculiar about some things and a good mirror for my purse is one of them. If you use your compact mirror, you have to clean it before you’re able to see yourself. But these mirrors are on the ready for you to check your lipstick or check your hair (or wig). Thank you so much, Sharla, for your quick and cordial response to my request! Subscribe to Sharla’s shop feed by clicking here.

I immediately took a liking to these hand-stamped “Feel ‘Em Up” Breast Cancer Awareness Greeting Cards from Christy’s Creations. All of her cards are so beautiful and you’ll find just about anything for any occasion. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, Christy took the opportunity to remind someone to feel their boobies or to get a mammogram. Think of all of the women in your life–mothers, sisters, neighbors, daughters, nieces, teachers, friends, cousins, grandmothers, aunts! Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, and Christy and I hope to see it eradicated in our life times! Right, Christy?

Christy based this card on the hope that someone will grab a handful and feel, or even go get a mammogram. You never know when a little nudge–a simple card that serves as a reminder, might just save a life. And really, in the end, isn’t that the point!

Not only are these cards a subtle reminder to take care of yourself, but they are messages of hope to someone who is currently fighting cancer. Maybe you know a breast cancer survivor: use one of these cards to let her know that you’re glad she won the fight! Since both of Christy’s parents have had cancer–her mother, a survivor, and her father, a fighter to the end, she is eager to raise awareness of breast cancer.

These 4″x5″ cards come on white card stock with a matching white envelope. The inside of the card is blank for your own message, while the left side has a floral print with a pink ribbon just to the right of the floral paper. I hope you’ll continue to support Christy’s Creations by adding her shop to your favorites and subscribing to her RSS feed by clicking here.

When you aren’t feeling well, and especially when you’re waging the fight of your life, you need your rest! This sleep mask with lavender sachet was the first Etsy item that caught my eye. From Art Colors and Lavender Studio, this sleep mask is embroidered with the words “Beauty Sleep.” Ahhhhh! It just begs you to take a nap, doesn’t it?
This shop’s mantra is “Conserving the elegance of yesterday, and combing it with the spontaneous and fun things of today: Art and Color.” Subscribe to the shop’s feed by clicking here. Thank you so much, Maria Patricia Lazaro Boeri, for your help with this promotion!

LMK Gifts has the greatest favors for all occasions, but especially for breast cancer fundraisers! This line, called “In Favor Of A Cure,” had so much that I had a hard time selecting from the items. In the end, I figured that everybody loves cookies, thus, the great cookie pops, and that it’s very important for breast cancer patients to keep bacteria to a minimum, so I chose the hand sanitizers. Aren’t these great?

LMK Gifts offers a wide selection of unique, hand finished favor boxes, favor centerpiece and personalized christening rosary favors, graduation party favors, birthday party favor boxes and many other personalized favors for almost any occasion. The shop has origami favor boxes to fit nearly any theme, as well as monogram favors that will coordinate with any type of wedding décor or color scheme. In addition to wedding favors, you’ll find a number of unique designs in personalized bridal shower favors and personalized anniversary favors to celebrate that milestone anniversary in style.

In addition to offering favors for specific occasions and themes, many of LMK Gifts’ favor designs are versatile enough to be used for a range of occasions.

Thanks so much, Lisa, for making these products available to me at a wonderful discount and for customizing them just the way I wanted them! I know lots of people who are having parties and planning weddings, and I know just the place to help them find the perfect party favor! Subscribe to the LMK Gifts feed by clicking here.

When I started my blog several months ago, I became acquainted via the wonderful world of Facebook with this great lady whose user name is Life’s A Gift! Doesn’t that say something about her attitude? And what a great sentiment for this promotion!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a creative idea for offering encouragement to others. Sandy Grams beat old fashioned greeting cards, hands down! Sandy Gram-Say it in the Sand is still in its infancy. Started by Lynda Thorn, a stay-at-home mom of two (a teenager and a toddler), Sandy Gram-Say it in the Sand gives you the opportunity to “write” your message or greeting in sand and have it photographed. Click here to see an example. Once Lynda has finished written your greeting and photographed it, she sends an email of the picture to you so that you can share it with someone you want to encourage.

I love these because they are beautiful, one-of-a-kind gifts that can be framed and treasured for years! Visit the SandyGram Facebook page by clicking here. Please “Like” Lynda’s page and tell her “Thanks” for contributing to this promotion. Lynda will give one lucky winner a Sandy Gram that says “Dreams Come True” or you can choose one that says “Never Give Up.” For more information on ordering a Sandy Gram of your own, e-mail Lynda at

Lynda, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

It began as more than a love of fashion, but a passion for the land and people of Mexico. With a desire to bring meaning to her life and a calling to unite the village markets of Mexico and her home country, Melanie Mauldin not only built her own family business, HandPicked but helped build better lives for the families of silversmiths that have created HandPicked treasures for the past 20 years. And, even today, Melanie continues to work to improve the quality of life for women in those villages.

By offering handcrafted sterling silver jewelry that represents value, HandPicked has evolved from home shows and holiday markets to a family-owned chain of stores in three states. I think I shopped one of their very first stores in Columbia, South Carolina, almost 20 years ago. Now, they have one just 20 minutes from my home, so I love shopping there. When I was looking for something special to wear to my step-daughter’s wedding, I went to HandPicked! So, it’s only natural that I looked to HandPicked to buy something special for this promotion.

One lucky winner will receive this necklace made from pink swarovski crystals and sterling silver. I picked it because it’s so dainty and I think it will make a woman feel beautiful. And after all, this is what this whole promotion is all about!

REVIEW & GIVEAWAY! Reisenthal Market Tote by Nicole Jane Home

Most Americans know very little about shopping baskets except those we see in our local grocery store or pharmacy when we go in to pick up a few items. Instead of a rolling shopping cart, we might pick up one of the little plastic baskets with handles, available near the checkout, to throw a few items into. But in Europe, shopping baskets are an essential! Unlike us lazy Americans, most Europeans walk to the market and take their mode of transporting their purchases with them. No European would be caught browsing a market or pharmacy without their trusty shopping basket!

Used all over Europe, the Reisenthal basket is an ideal shape and size for those trips to your local farmers market or those annual festivals that take place in the spring and fall. In fact, I just took mine along to the local Farmers’ Market Fall Festival! Having used mine recently, I can tell you that it beats those plastic bags by a country mile!

The basket has a lightweight aluminum frame and polyester covering—mine is the art deco pattern, and I find all sorts of uses for it every day! The frame and the covering are durable and easy to clean. The rigid bottom and protective feet make it easy to put down your basket while you browse without fear that everything will topple out. I don’t like shopping bags or totes for this very reason.

Typically, I don’t enjoy shopping baskets because when I drape the handle over my arm, it leaves a bruise. If I hold it in my hands, I sometimes get a little pinch when the handles (that are poorly made) grab my fingers. But the Reisenthal basket has a thick rubber-grip handle that makes it comfortable to carry—no bruises even when I fill it to the brim!

And right now, mine is filled with magazines and books in anticipation of a weekend away, filled with reading and relaxation.

There’s a lot to love about this basket and I found it hard to narrow my favorite features down to just one thing. I love that the basket collapses easily for storage. Assembly is simple–expand the lightweight handle from the frame and lock in the up position. I keep mine in the back of my car so that I’m never without it when I decide to make a local run to buy some produce or hit one of the antique (think more in the area of junk) stores. It’s perfect for putting those small items into.

Here’s my other favorite feature—the basket has an inner zippered pocket for carrying your wallet, cell phone, keys and other essentials. Primo feature! Thin inserts are provided to give extra support along the sides. You don’t have to carry your purse!

Like all Reisenthel products, it is very high quality (this is the real deal—not a cheap knockoff)! An updated version of the classic wicker basket, the Reisenthel Market Basket is an ideal tool for groceries if you’re into keeping our planet green. Use in place of plastic baskets to shop, pack and haul home Reisenthel materials are remarkably durable, featuring designs that add a refreshing dash of color to normally mundane looking products. Bold colors and fashion forward prints turn heads.

The Reisenthal Market Tote is about the same size as a traditional shopping basket when open. It measures 19” x 12” x 11” and has a 25 liter volume (about 6 gallons).

About the Sponsor ~ Nicole Jane Home

Nicole Jane Home is a leading online home décor and gift store, serving customers throughout Canada and the U.S.A. Based in South Surrey, BC, Nicole Jane Home brings you stylish, high-quality products delivered right to your door. Whenever and wherever it’s convenient, just pull up a chair, pour a cup of tea and shop to your heart’s content, without ever leaving your home or office.

Okay, so Nicole Jane Home is convenient . . . but do they have what you’re looking for? Sure thing! Nicole Jane Home carries the latest trends and styles to help you create beautiful room scapes with the style and ambiance you want. If you’re looking for a special gift, they have just the thing! Nicole Jane Home shops the world so you don’t have to!

I took a little shopping tour today, and here are a few of the things I found and put into my shopping basket:

Celebrate the changing seasons with this exquisite set of 4 glass squash (each 4″). Each set is individually hand/mouth-blown high quaity glass. Collect the amber or clear, or mix and match both for a stunning display of Fall’s favourite harvest. These would look great on your Thanksgiving table.

I always find a need to use card tables at Christmas–for my dessert table or beverages–but I can never find a pretty cloth for a table that size. Usually, I wind up with something way too large or I settle (and I do mean settle) for paper or plastic. Anybody who has been to my home for a meal knows that I hate settling for ugly paper and plastic ware! I use it, but only if it’s really pretty! I am so excited to find a square tablecloth for my holiday festivities at Nicole Jane Home! I ordered two of these–a solid and a print for layering! These April Cornell Table Linens (they are exquisite) start at $24.99. You’ll love browsing the table linens from Nicole Jane Home.

Truly, it’s all at the touch of your fingers. Shop the site, place your order, and wait for everything to arrive at your doorstep. And don’t worry! If everything isn’t just the way you like it, Nicole Jane Home has a hassle-free return policy. I haven’t returned a single item I’ve purchased, but I can tell you a little about Nicole Jane Home’s customer service . . . It’s simply the best! Period! You’re notified when your order is shipped and if anything is delayed for any reason, you’re notified that the item is delayed and why.

When the item ships, my dear friend Jennifer who is the brains behind Nicole Jane Home, tracks the order and sends you an email on THE day the order is to arrive telling you to look for your shipment! (I love that about her!) Not only does she notify you to look for your package, but she asks if you’re pleased with your order and she truly wants to know!

Nicole Jane Home is big enough to bring you a wide selection of great items for your home and gift giving but small enough to bring you that wonderful personal touch that I so appreciate when I shop!

Gracyn Altman Hamilton

Congratulations, Gracyn! Please email me at with your mailing address so that I can ship this beautiful bag and stroller blanket to you.

Thanks everyone for entering! Please stay posted for more great giveaways! Product Review & Giveaway

I came to know about through a post on Facebook, and I was lured by the picture of the gorgeous jewelry. I clicked on the link to learn more about the contest that offered a free piece of jewelry, of my choice, but I thought there was a catch and was a little leery because is unlike any other site in the way they market their beautiful jewelry.

The contest rules explained that I would receive a bonus piece of jewelry to keep if I enrolled in a trial membership and the first month’s membership was free as part of the contest. “Uh-oh!” I thought. “I’m going to get roped into this club that I can never get out of!” Still, the appeal of that knock-out bracelet I was going to win sucked me right in and I figured it was worth the risk. By the way, here’s the piece I won. Isn’t it stunning?

I’ll be the first to admit that I was a bit skeptical about joining what I perceived to be a jewelry club. In my mind, I could see these shipments showing up at my door much like one of those book-of-the-month clubs where you are shipped a book every month based on your favorite genre and authors. You know the ones . . . IF you return the book in the very limited period of time allotted you won’t be billed for it. Well, I’m not very good at returning things in a timely fashion, and apparently, there are a lot of other people who aren’t or these clubs would cease to exist. Nevertheless, I told myself that I would sign up and once I got my free stuff, I’d unsubscribe. I was getting a free month’s membership and even if I forgot to cancel for a month, it was only $7.95 after that. AND I was getting a bracelet valued at $48, so if I wound up paying the second month’s membership, I still had a gorgeous bracelet that only cost me $7.95.

Well, I got my bracelet and the pictures didn’t do it justice! Along with the bracelet, shipped a pair of CZ studs that I wear almost every day. I swear they look real! I also got a Signature Keyhole Heart Bracelet ($32 value) as an added bonus that was mine to keep even if I canceled my membership. As excited I was with all my goodies, I still thought it must be too good to be true. But I was oh, so wrong!

For decades, has created much of the quality fashion jewelry seen in well-known department stores and designer collections. Even in today’s economy, style savvy women, like you, can always be chic and smartly accessorized!

There are no shipping charges, so you are only paying the membership fee, which is deducted from your PayPal account. Don’t worry! You will receive an email notification to alert you that your account will be charged. Add, delete or change items on your Personalized Wish List as often as you like. Then once each month, the item(s) from your list is shipped.’s revolutionary Just Get a New One concept offers three membership levels that are extremely affordable.

Even if you don’t wear jewelry that often, can you think of a more affordable way to get killer gifts for your friends and family? It’s akin to a jewelry lay-away plan at unbelievable savings!

Giveaway: is giving one lucky winner a Garden of Flowers Ring valued at $54. The ring’s bold design and scintillating style screams glamour! With five faceted, round, black diamond navettes in the center and smaller pear shaped stones underlying them, the ring is sure to be a conversation piece.

While the picture seems to make the stones in the ring appear a true black, the stones actually are more of a dark gray to black, which makes the ring more appealing to me. In my opinion, it gave the ring a less costume look. The ring comes in one size (8) which fits the average sized finger. You choose which finger will sport this beautiful floral design.
