Wear a Work of Art!

According to Oscar Wilde, “one should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art.” Designer Maria Argyropoulos puts the latter within reach with her handbag line, m.andonia. Continuing the family tradition of craftsmanship (her family opened a leather goods factory in Athens in 1936), Argyropoulous creates inventive yet highly functional arm candy.

Who says that a functional work case has to be boring? I love this iPad case at just $49! And it’s only at Swirl by Daily Candy!

While you’re browsing the Swirl sales, check out Sharon Segal’s eponymous basics collection, featuring perfect tanks and tees in vintage-like textures and fun colors.

And I’m sort of obsessed with brows! I notice them on people! With brows, there’s the natural look (Martin Scorcese) and the “natural look” (Brooke Shields). Brow guru Malynda Vigliotti specializes in the latter. Her West Village salon, Boom Boom Brow Bar, has been perfecting the peepers of New York women for years! And if you live in the area, you can buy a brow treatment at a discount or go DIY with a Boom Boom grooming kit. An entire kit is just $29!

Now’s the time to pull out those fall sweaters . . . or is it? Yesterday, it was almost 90 degrees here! I tried to dress for the season, but just because they’re called “sweaters,” does it mean they have to make you sweat profusely? Leave it to Shae to bring you knits expertly designed to be just as wearable as your ordinary garments. With lightweight textures, short sleeve construction, and silk paneling, you’ll stay cool. Of course, you’re also welcome to cozy up (and perspire, if you must) in the smart sweater jackets and cardis. Prices range from $39 to $59.
